Fruit and Seed breakfast sundae

Having followed the Ketogenic diet, I have noticed I am not craving sugar anywhere near as much. I do, however, always fancy something less savoury in the mornings.

As fruit is mostly a no-no on this diet, I have found it tough. Getting fed-up of eggs every morning, I thought I would gradually just become clean-eating and start to introduce a little fruit here and there.

So I thought I would start with berries, as these are supposed to be high in anti-oxidants and have just enough sweetness to curb any further cravings.

This breakfast is so fast and simple but tastes good, looks pretty and is jam-packed with goodness.


All you need is;

Pumpkin seeds (I got a mixed bag with cashews and dried cranberries in too)

Chia seeds

Natural yoghurt

Blueberries (I microwaved some frozen ones for a coulée effect)

Fresh Blackberries

Pomegranate seeds

Raw cacao powder for sprinkle

Layer it up however you like and if you have one, put into a nice cocktail glass just to make it more like a dessert. If you want even more sweetness, you could always sprinkle some Stevia (natural sweetener) or if sugar (if you want to be a bit naughty) onto the top.

I made up a few and popped them into the fridge for a speedy breakfast all ready to go!

  2. Love this, I follow a low carb diet but eat berries and some fruit as I love it and my go-to meal is a full fat Greek yoghurt smoothie with berries or something similar to this. Thanks for linking up to #tastytuesdays x
