Losing the baby weight

God I hate diets, as I’m sure we all do. I have only ever done a strict diet once before in my life and that was a fertility diet to fall pregnant with my first born. Ironically, now I am trying to lose all the weight I gained when I was pregnant (and its pretty much the same diet).

I know its only for 2 weeks, and I have to keep telling myself this, but its the constant nagging in my head that I hate. As this is very similar to the Atkins diet, I can’t eat fruit, anything sugary or carbohydrates. I never thought I would actually crave my son’s porridge or just a handful of grapes.

On the other hand, I do still get to eat some yummy food. For example, one dinner consisted of rump steak cooked in garlic butter with al dente green beans. Delish! Most mornings I am having some form of cooked breakfast too. So I shouldn’t complain, there are far worse diets out there.

I am only on day three so far, so I can’t comment on how successful its been. But I will keep you posted on my progress.
